viva la vida

Frida often wore beautiful Mexican huipiles, bold jewelry, and traditional headdresses. With a cigarette in hand and unapologetically natural facial hair, she fearlessly defied societal norms in favor of authenticity. She carried the intensity of life with deep feeling, often pouring her pain and passion onto the canvas. Yet, in her final masterpiece, she chose instead to express reverence for the sheer magnificence of the human experience.
